The Premier Business and Technology Knowledge Portal and Global Community
Network for E-Business, Information, Technology, and Knowledge Management
recommended by Business Week, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, Harvard
Publishing, Computerworld, CIO and Information Week. Fast Company, the
magazine for the New Economy, says: "If @Brint doesn't have it,
then you probably don't need it." Brint.com is the first globally
branded and recognized premier online portal and community network providing
free access to millions of users. Originally founded in 1994, @Brint.com
web site is widely recognized as the Internet's largest and most popular
resource for Knowledge Management, E-Business, and Information Technology
related resources, content and community. "In ten years, we may
read a Business Week or U.S. News and World Report ranking of the top
learning portals. It remains to be seen whether the names on this ranking
will still belong only to traditional business education providers or
whether newcomers such as @Brint.com sites will be ranked between Harvard
and Wharton."

and abroad, called The Toolbox. Sections of the Toolbox include: So
I'm A Librarian-Now What?, a Career Section, the Librarians' Resource
Centre, and links to Knowledge Management materials.
Knowledge
Management-Emerging Perspectives
A good set of relevant materials and links. "Yes, knowledge management
is the hottest subject of the day. The question is: what is this activity
called knowledge management, and why is it so important to each and
every one of us? [Our] writings, articles, and links offer some emerging
perspectives in response to these questions."
Case
Studies in Knowledge Practices
BP Exploration underwent a reorganization to a decentralized operating
structure; at the same time, senior management recognized there remained
a need for employees to share expertise. The challenge for management
was to build networks of people with complementary expertise and allow
them to communicate robustly with one another. An independent team set
out to foster these communities with the goal of developing a new kind
of company. The team identified technologies to enable the communities
to work together, established several pilot groups, and then coached
participants on how to use the available resources. The case study describes
the goals of the virtual teamwork program, the process of establishing
the program, and the keys to its success.

Journal
of Knowledge Management Practice
A unique experiment in journal publishing-the open library concept.
In this approach readers have open access to all articles that have
been, and are currently being, published in JKMP. Think of this open
library concept as a "knowledge garden". As a place with purpose
and boundaries, but populated by design according to chaos theory; a
place to wander round, relax and reflect, and be pleasantly surprised
from time to time.
@Knowledge
@Knowledge magazine is an Internet zine and radio show that discusses
Knowledge Management. "Within this view, Knowledge Management caters
to the critical issues of organizational adaptation, survival and competence
in face of increasingly discontinuous change. Essentially, it embodies
organizational processes that seek synergistic combination of data and
information processing capacity of information technologies, and the
creative and innovative capacity of human beings." @Knowledge intends
to maintain a high end discussion as well as directly explain the practical
and day to day issues of Knowledge Management.
